Fellow Young Democrat,

The 2021 Indiana Young Democrats Virtual Convention was a blast! We gathered as Young Democrats ready to renew our pledge to increase engagement amongst young voters and elect more young Democrats to office. We participated in training sessions to prepare us to lead in our own communities across the state and hear from game-changers making a difference in our political atmosphere. We also elected our officers for the 2021-23 term. Thank you for being a part of our convention!

We could not have held the convention without the support of our sponsors. The people pictured below donated to Indiana Young Democrats because they believe that #YoungGetItDone. Thank you to all of those who donated and supported Indiana Young Democrats during our 2021 Virtual Convention. With their support, we will elect more Young Democrats, train our members, and send a strong delegation to the Young Democrats of America Convention in August.

YDA NATIONAL CONVENTION

Two years ago, the Young Democrats of America National Convention was held right here in downtown Indianapolis. The 2021 National Convention of the Young Democrats of America will take place August 11th through August 14th in Cincinnati, Ohio at the Westin Cincinnati (21 E 5th St, Cincinnati, OH 45202).

IYD is offering financial assistance for our delegates to the convention and has passed a delegate selection plan to ensure diversity goals are met. The deadline for the application has been extended to July 12th.

We are also excited that our very own IYD President, Arielle Brandy, will be running for YDA Secretary on the YDA Reimagined slate! We are excited by her team's platform and can't wait to send a full delegation to Ohio to support her!

Now that the 2021 Indiana Young Democrats State Convention is over, IYD President Arielle Brandy will be able to make appointments subject to a simple majority vote of the new IYD Executive Committee.

Democratic Women's Series: The Roundtable

Join IYD President Arielle Brandy at The Roundtable. "The Roundtable," to be held via Zoom on July 8th, is the kickoff event of the upcoming "Democratic Women's Series." "The Roundtable" will be a discussion between Democratic women about Democratic women's participation in Indiana politics. As with our other events, this will be an opportunity for Hoosier Democrats to share concerns, network, and work together to promote Democratic values and women's issues.
