She’s wrong about backing Terry, but she is right about one thing – “Just like the focus was on Georgia in 2020, all eyes will be on Virginia in 2021.” 

 

This time, instead of letting the Democrats sweep the state, we’re going to make sure Republican Glenn Youngkin wins this election.

Terry’s opponent says he’s proud to have Donald Trump’s endorsement. He even added “Donald Trump represents so much of why I’m running.”

 

And he’s putting his money where his mouth is. He has supported Donald Trump’s anti-democratic conspiracy theories and pushed an agenda of restricting voter access.

 

On the other hand, Terry is a champion for our freedom to vote. As Governor, he restored voting rights to more people than any other Governor in history. He fought hard to make sure Virginia was one of the most welcoming, inclusive and forward-looking places in the country. But if Terry’s opponent wins, he’ll take the Commonwealth backwards. In state after state across the country, we have seen that governors play a large role in determining whether access is restricted or expanded. We must hold the line in Virginia to protect and expand progress.

 

So here is the deal: if we do our part to elect Terry in Virginia, we can send a message to the entire country that our Democracy is stronger than ever. We can demonstrate that candidates who support voter suppression and Donald Trump’s big lie will be met with a groundswell of grassroots resistance.
