Jack —
Another day, another smear piece by the DNC establishment and corporate media elite. Look what the folks who will be acting as so-called neutral "moderators" in Tuesday’s debate said about us, Jack, in yesterday’s NYT hit piece "What, Exactly, is Tulsi Gabbard Up to?:"
This greatest hits against Tulsi piece goes on to describe our movement of, by and for the people as comprised of white nationalists, conspiracy theorists, neo-nazi’s, right wing trolls and anti-semites. These disgusting accusations are not only false, they show just how far the corporate media is willing to go to discredit Tulsi, and to smear our campaign.
We cannot let this stand, Jack. What the corporate media elite claim to find “strange” or claim makes us “unusual,” is quite simple: Like Tulsi, our movement does not conform to establishment labels. We do not represent the divisive identity-politics-driven status quo. United by our love of country and for each other, in pursuit of peace, and with aloha for all, there is nothing we cannot overcome together. We are rising above the divisive partisan rhetoric and the narrow lanes of the status quo to create a country truly of, by and for the people.
Will you join me today in showing we will not take these attacks lying down? Chip-in $12 — or whatever you can afford today — and we will put that money directly toward running powerful online ads that bypass the corporate media spin, and promote Tulsi’s message of unity, peace and prosperity for all:
There’s nothing "strange" about the fact that Tulsi has as many supporters watching Fox News as she does watching CNN. Tulsi’s appeal to our common humanity — regardless of party, religion, race or background — is the exact reason why she is the only candidate who can beat Donald Trump in the general election. She is the only candidate who understands firsthand the cost of war, and is willing to take on the military industrial complex to end regime change wars, the new Cold War and nuclear arms race. She’s the only candidate who is considering boycotting the DNC debate to bring attention to how they are — once again — hijacking our democratic primary system, putting their finger on the scale for establishment candidates with high name recognition, bypassing the role of the voters in vetting our next commander in chief
You know all of this, Jack, and that’s why you’re with us. Will you show Tulsi that you have her back against these ridiculous and biased attacks by pitching-in $12 or whatever you can afford, right now?
These establishment attacks are not going away any time soon. So long as Tulsi keeps speaking truth to power, rattling the cage of the DC elite, we will be a target for vile media smears like yesterday’s New York Times piece and the baseless biased attacks from Hillary Clinton establishment shills like Neera Tanden who is quoted in yesterday’s NYT piece as saying about Tulsi’s progressive platform: "She’s taken a series of policy steps which signal to the right that she has deep areas of alignment."
Let’s be clear: Tulsi’s policies work for all Americans. To build a green energy economy, end our dependence on fossil fuel and nuclear power, protect our air and water, craft a healthcare system that puts people over profits, make education both affordable and relevant to our world today and — most of all — end the regime change wars, the new Cold War and nuclear arms race that cost us trillions. She can do this BECAUSE she’s able to work with people from across the political spectrum, not in spite of it. That ability to find common ground rather than sow division is what is so sorely missing in our politics today. It’s the reason we’re fighting to make Tulsi our commander in chief.
Tulsi has never caved to doing what is politically popular if that means not doing what is right for we, the people. She is not deterred by this fight, and neither are we.
Thank you for all that you do,
Caitlin
