Hi John,
For nearly two months our team has made the case for reinstating state-led vehicle pollution standards. In that time tens of thousands of Americans have stepped up, sending a strong message to EPA Administrator Michael Regan: “when states are allowed to lead, we can reduce pollution, drive innovation and save lives.”
As we speak, the EPA is deciding whether they should overturn a Trump-era policy that weakens states’ ability to adopt clean car standards. Which is why we need your support.
We’re only 1,500 people shy of our goal of 25,000 constituent comments to the EPA! Don’t miss your chance to speak up before the deadline closes, today!
When states implement stronger transportation standards at the local level we’re able to reduce health-harming and climate pollution, cut fuel prices and drive innovation for zero-emission vehicles — protecting our environment for ourselves and future generations to come.
Before Trump’s attack on Clean Car Standards, 15 states had already adopted progressive policies to curb climate pollution from cars. The EPA’s decision to rescind the Trump policy that undermined these rights will be pivotal for these states and for the additional states looking to push ahead with more ambitious clean vehicle initiatives that go even further than the federal government.
That’s why speaking out today is so important! Let’s get the U.S. back on track to protect clean air in our communities and help alleviate the ongoing climate crisis. Raise your voice and tell the EPA to reverse the previous administration's attack on state-led clean car standards!
This is our moment for climate progress,
Wes Rogerson
