Critical Race Theory in Jeopardy? <[link removed]> – Hannah-Jones was right about one thing: the plan was working. Then along came Americans insisting, “not so fast.” They don’t agree that racism lives in everything, everywhere; they think it’s crazy to portray America as an oppressive place where individual success perpetuates the oppression; they think that to teach this mush to little children is a form of child abuse, and to be trained into this at the office a form of workplace
harassment. Their willingness to stand up to the CRT scourge is encouraging. Denying that CRT is in play is a clear sign that the resistance is having success, as was amply shown in the embarrassing exchange Reid had with Rufo on June 23, in which Reid attempted to deny easily provable links between CRT and what is happening on the ground in America today. Whether the tech giants and their political leaders will let ordinary Americans continue their resistance and try to lead their lives without this pestilence remains to be seen. Most parents and teachers are done with critical race theory <[link removed]> – Parents and teachers overwhelmingly believe that students benefit
from civics education on the core functions of government — the part of civics on which all reasonable people agree. Parents and teachers also agree that the most important function of civics is practical information and guidance on how to carry out the duties of a citizen. Choosing among five options, both groups put this topic first. That unity makes us optimistic. The choice is ours. People have the freedom to use CRT as a weapon to cast hate. Or we can use core civic knowledge as an opportunity to reset, understand our common political inheritance, and build a stronger community with our children. Nation’s Largest Teachers Union Is Terrified About Truth Being Exposed on Critical Race Theory <[link removed]> – The nation’s largest teachers union is obsessed with smearing any criticism of critical race theory. CRT is a radical academic discipline that compels students to act on the Marxist idea that the world is divided between victimizers and their victims—statuses that are based mostly on race and ethnicity, but other immutable characteristics as well. Is this the best use of NEA resources for serving our nation’s educators? Do hard-working teachers really want their union dues empowering a political attack machine that wants to scare parents and others, including teachers themselves, who have real concerns about teaching that America is inherently racist or stereotyping students based on their skin color? Heritage is proud of its
comprehensive work in this field, which has always focused on explaining the facts behind critical race theory and how it is infecting all aspects of our everyday life. We stand with parents, educators, lawmakers, and other Americans who want children to learn about all of America’s history, without indoctrinating them in a toxic narrative that undermines student unity and achievement or implementing CRT’s racially divisive principles in ways that violate the Civil Rights Act and the Constitution. In the feds versus Georgia's voting law, bet on Georgia <[link removed]> – The Justice Department also claims it is discriminatory that
Georgia has banned permanent absentee ballot lists. This means a voter must request an absentee ballot for each election. This is, in fact, an election best practice. No reasonable person would think there is anything discriminatory about any of these provisions regarding absentee ballot requests, particularly given how notoriously inaccurate voter registrations lists are and how hard it is for states to keep them up to date and remove individuals who have died or moved
away. The allegations in this complaint lack any modicum of common sense. It is nothing less than a partisan lawsuit and an abuse of the Justice Department's enforcement authority under the Voting Rights Act. Every allegation in the lawsuit is based on the patronizing view that Black and other minority voters are somehow not as capable as other voters of dealing with election rules and procedures. That is obviously and clearly not true. The Justice Department should be ashamed and embarrassed by this lawsuit. Heritage experts: Hans von Spakovsky <[link removed]> and Zack

Woke Gender <[link removed]> – For parents to succeed in protecting children from “woke” gender ideology, they will need to do political battle. Like Critical Race Theory, Gender Theory has entered pediatricians’ offices and classrooms through the work of political activists. Doctors, teachers, and lawmakers who want to protect children will continue to be trampled by the transgender lobby and “woke capital” until parents provide reinforcements. By vanquishing the threats of legal punishment and “cancel culture,” parents can stop schools and hospitals from luring more confused children into the horrors of the gender industry. Congress should not approve a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants <[link removed]> – Congress should not pass legislation to legalize the millions of individuals illegally present in the
United States. Congress has an obligation to enact and enforce laws that lead to an orderly immigration system for our sovereign nation and for the American people. Over the past three decades, any discussion of legislation to give green cards to those here illegally has consistently triggered increases in the number of migrants from Central America, Mexico and
elsewhere, inducing them to journey to the United States in the hope of obtaining green cards. Illegal immigration at the border is rising again, as migrants seek to benefit from President Biden's campaign promise of amnesty. Within just the first few weeks of the new administration, the Border Patrol is reporting more than 3,500 daily encounters, up from around 1,000 a day. These are crisis numbers — the very opposite of an orderly immigration system. The rise shows that the Biden administration has done enough damage to border security by suspending the effective “Remain in Mexico” program and declaring an end to the safe third-country agreements with the governments of El Salvador, Guatemala and
Honduras. Congress should not perpetuate or encourage even more illegal immigration by negotiating or debating a legalization program for illegal aliens in the United States. Heritage expert: Lora Ries <[link removed]>
