Dear Twin Ports DSA Members and Associates,
We have a number of events this week.
Tonight at 8 pm our Labor Engagement Group meets to plan for this weekend's Chapter Check-in, which will be partly a pot-luck, and partly a float decorating event. Use this link to join.
Tomorrow at 7 pm is the city council meeting that our previous message detailed. We need people to show up (via WebX, online) and give voice in support of Community Crisis Response. If you missed the message you can read it here.
On Wednesday at 6 pm we are having a gathering at Troy and Kyrsten's to discuss the national DSA resolutions and amendments for the August convention. This is for interested members to provide feedback to our delegates. To prepare, everything can be found on the main convention page. To get to Troy and Kyrsten's, follow the red brick road to 3724 Allendale Avenue, up from Woodland, well past Hartley Park.
On Friday, 5:30 pm, the Racial Justice Working Group will meet and likely be figuring out next steps after Tuesday's City Council meeting. Email Lydia at [email protected] to participate.
Finally, on Saturday the 10th, most likely at 6 pm, we will have a chapter check-in at David Clanaugh's house. I will send you full details tomorrow.
In solidarity,
John Krumm
TPDSA Secretary
(If you have been receiving these emails and aren't a member yet, we want you to join! Our goals are both broad and local, and we intend to win as many as possible. Simply put--the Green New Deal, Medicare for All, green housing for all, a justice system that helps instead of harms, an end to poverty, socialists in office everywhere--these goals and more will not happen without mass participation. Use this link to join or renew.)
