I need to share some troubling news with you: A conservative dark money group, the Heritage Foundation, is spending $24 million across eight states – including my home state of Michigan – to pass and defend proposed anti-voter laws. 

We are witnessing an unprecedented, coordinated attack on voting rights from the GOP – aided and abetted by dark-money donors. From here in Michigan to Texas, Georgia, Florida and beyond, Republicans are trying to shut millions of people out from our democracy at the ballot box.

And let's be honest: these laws disproportionately hurt Black voters and other people of color from exercising their constitutional and civil rights. 

So I have an urgent but straightforward request of you, friend: Help me protect voting rights. 

In the face of the GOP's anti-democratic attacks, I need 1,500 members of this team to urge Congress to take immediate action to protect voting rights. All it takes to get started is locking in your response to the following question before 11:59 p.m. tonight:
