Did you see the latest, John?

Just this week, Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos violated a court order by continuing to collect loan payments from 16,000 people who were incorrectly informed they owed a payment on their debt.

Since taking office, DeVos has abused her power to repeatedly side with her wealthy friends over American students. She has protected for-profit colleges, fought affirmative action, moved to dismantle the Special Olympics, rolled back Title IX protections for sexual assault victims, and even suggested that teachers be armed in the classroom.

Making sure our children have quality education, from kindergarten to college, starts with your local school board. That’s why it’s so important we elect strong progressive leaders in our own communities to fight back against every single one of DeVos’ transgressions.

We can strike back and win critical races THIS NOVEMBER in targeted School Boards nationwide. Make a donation of $10 or more split between this incredible slate of progressives to fight back against DeVos locally -- EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR sends a message to Trump Republicans: if you stand with Betsy DeVos, we’ll send you packing.

Let’s be honest, everyone loves to get sucked into the big races for President, Senate, and the House. And don’t get me wrong -- those offices are important. Yet, often where we can make the most impact is locally in races for school board, district attorney, or city council.

That’s why DFA has endorsed six progressive candidates running for school board across the country:

Brendon Signh (Houston, TX), Tay Anderson (Denver, CO), Joseph George (Prince Williams County, VA), Karl Frisch (Fairfax County, VA), Marlena Brookfield (Cincinnati, OH), and Karen Keys-Gamarra (Fairfax County, VA).

Will you reach into your pockets and make a donation of whatever is meaningful to you to help these six candidates win their elections? Every dollar goes a long way in a local race like this.

The 50 State Strategy is alive and well at DFA, because we know when we Fight Everywhere, we Win Everywhere.
