Good afternoon

We have never known the momentum behind the assisted dying campaign that we currently have. Over the course of a few short weeks we’ve reached some major milestones: the introduction of a new Assisted Dying Bill in the House of Lords, proposals for a new bill in the Scottish Parliament and now for the first time we have the Sunday Times and the Sunday Times Scotland support the movement behind both bills.

Having bills in Scotland and Westminster at the same time doubles the pressure for MPs to act. If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to meet with your MP, it’s now. And don’t worry, we’ll talk you through the process in our unique Meet your MP online seminar series. Please, register today.

Since we started running these webinars last January, almost 100 people have had one-to-one meetings with their MPs. But there are still a lot of MPs whose positions remain unclear or who still need to be persuaded to support the assisted dying law coming down the tracks.

In each of these free sessions, we’ll discuss the What, Why and How of meeting your MP - what you need to know, why it’s important and how you go about the practicalities of booking a meeting. But really the only why that matters is this: meeting your MP is the single most effective thing you can do for the campaign

Take this next step with confidence by attending one of our July online seminars:

We need to make the most of this unique opportunity to change the law in Scotland and across the UK. We only need to win once - but we’ll need all hands on deck.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
