Let's back up for a minute. What is Summer Games Done Quick—or as we call it, SGDQ? And what’s a “video game speedrunner?”
SGDQ is a video game streaming marathon that raises millions of dollars to support MSF’s lifesaving work in more than 70 countries. Every summer since 2013, elite gamers—speedrunners—have come together to beat games in record time, with hundreds of thousands of fans watching and raising money to support our humanitarian medical aid work.
