Charles Booker is running. And Rand Paul should be very scared. Rand Paul has spent his time in the Senate ATTACKING Dr. Fauci and parroting racist conspiracies about the origin of the COVID-19 pandemic.

That's right. In the midst of a global pandemic, massive inequities in our economy, and a climate in crisis, Senator Rand Paul went out of his way to attack Dr. Fauci. Worse yet, Rand Paul rallied against impeaching Donald Trump and joined other insurrectionist Republicans by refusing to investigate Trump and the rest of the GOP's involvement in the horror of January 6. Which is a massive about-face for Paul after he previously said that Trump was a "fake conservative" and a "delusional narcissist.” That flip-flopping might be spineless, but it is calculated.

Rand Paul knows that by cozying up to Trump and being at the beck-and-call of Trump's every command that he'll be in good hands. Properly placated, Trump will be happy to direct his legion of mega-rich donors and far-right supporters to POUR money into Paul's race to defeat any challenger. It's clear that when given the choice between Trump's dark money and American democracy, Rand Paul will choose the money EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
