Happy Fourth of July, John.
Thank you for all of your help meeting the mark on our second FEC fundraising goal of 2021. I'm so grateful, and I hope you have the opportunity to spend time with friends and family this weekend.
This 4th of July, I'm reminded that patriotism is not passive. It's crucial that we take action to stand up for our shared values, especially when we know our country can do better. That's why I'm fighting so hard alongside President Biden and my fellow Democrats in Congress to recover from the pandemic -- and make sure we start from the bottom up and the middle out.
The economy is booming -- with 850,000 new jobs added in June alone. Checks are in hands, shots are in arms, and I'm pleased to report that we've added the most jobs in the first five months of any presidency on record.
We are making incredible progress, but we certainly haven't been able to do this alone -- your grassroots support enables all this and more.
So please believe me when I say that fundraising deadlines aren't arbitrary and that the stakes are too high to take anything for granted. I'm honored and humbled to have you on our team.
