Happy 4th of July!

I hope you are enjoying the holiday weekend and spending this time with friends and loved ones.

As we celebrate our country and our freedom, we should also reflect on what we can continue to do to make this a country that works for everyone. Honestly, we have a long way to go to achieve true equality for all — but there is some important legislation currently in Congress that can get us a step closer.

The government must deliver for the American people, and that starts with passing an infrastructure bill that invests in education, childcare, and paid family leave. There’s a lot to like in the bipartisan infrastructure bill, and I’m excited to see President Biden lead on fighting climate change and helping the working class.

We must continue to fight for policies and legislation that helps all Americans — not just the billionaires and Wall Street — and betters our country. That will be my priority as a U.S. Senator.
