From my family to yours, Happy 4th of July!

It has been a long year, but that makes it all the more rewarding to be able to safely celebrate today with our loved ones.

Whether you are celebrating today at home, with friends, or with your community — let us take this time to appreciate how far we have come and how far we have yet to go as a nation.

245 years ago, the founders of our country, in the face of great danger, took action against the injustices levied against them. Today is about more than just the foundation of this nation, this day is a reminder of our values as a nation and the strength of bold ideas and progressive leadership.

Our history tells us that when groups of people come together and fight for what is right — we can change the entire course of history.

I am excited to be a part of America’s history and to continue this journey of progress with you.
