I wanted to send out a quick note wishing you all a Happy 4th of July! This Independence Day, I hope you can take a few minutes to reflect on all of the freedoms we have as Americans. The right to vote, freedom of speech, and the ability to strive to be whatever it is we want to be.

While our country has come a long way since its inception, let us also recommit to doing what we can to move our communities forward -- whether it’s through our actions or our words -- and work towards creating systems that truly bring liberty and justice to all .

I hope you spend today creating memories with the ones you love. Happy 4th!
