Hi John,
When it was 104° in Tacoma recently, the handful of air-conditioned hotel rooms left were all going for $400+, up from $100+ the day before.
The rich chilled. The poor roasted. This is the future — unless we change it.
I’m running for Congress to fight for real action on the climate catastrophe: 100% renewable energy and a ban on all fossil fuel extraction, pipelines, and refining. Can you chip in $11 to help me win, so I can fight for the climate in Congress?
We’re up against an immoral fossil fuel industry that doesn’t care whether we live or die, as long as they make their profits. An Exxon lobbyist was recently caught on video saying:
“Did we aggressively fight against some of the science? Yes...Did we join some of these shadow groups to work against some of the early efforts? Yes, that’s true. But there’s nothing, there’s nothing illegal about that. We were looking out for our investments. We were looking out for our shareholders.”
He went on to describe how he buys off Senators and described Joe Manchin as the “Kingmaker.”
It’s sad that the people stopping the Democratic agenda are...Democrats. I’m running against a Joe Manchin Democrat, who opposes real progress on climate and takes money from Chevron and Marathon Petroleum.
I am uncorrupted by oil money, but I need your help to win. Can you give $11 now, so I can win this race?
Roads buckling, cable lines melting, heat records shattering, wildfires raging, oceans burning.
Business as usual is what got us here, and we need rapid, wholesale change, or human civilization itself could be threatened. Climate change is happening faster than the scientists predicted.
Who do you want fighting this: me or someone who takes Big Oil’s polluted money?
Please chip in here with $11 now to help me fight climate change in Congress:

Thank you — and thank you for all your support the past two weeks as I launched this campaign. It means the world.
