Dear Patriot, The happy Union of these States is a wonder; their
Constitution a miracle; their example the hope of Liberty throughout the world. ~James Madison On the surface, it may seem like James Madison’s words ring hollow and there isn’t much independence to celebrate this Independence Day. After all, the coronavirus “crisis” has led to massive new assaults on our most basic freedoms -- from mandatory mask wearing, to mandatory testing and tracking, and possibly even mandatory vaccinations. And it’s giving Congress a new excuse to rack up trillions in new spending and debt. Of course, the Federal Reserve is doing “whatever it takes” to facilitate Congress’ spending spree and even pumping money directly into the coffers of private corporations (and even foreign banks) in a desperate attempt to “stimulate” the economy. Now Congress is looking at giving the Fed the power to create a digital currency that will enable it to really ramp up inflation and would allow the government to easily keep track of all of your purchases. Meanwhile, the cultural Marxists are taking over entire city blocks and classrooms across the country. Yet despite all of the bad news, those who cherish the ideals of the Declaration of Independence do have several things to celebrate today. . . First, America is still the freest country in the world. Go anywhere else, and you’ll find higher taxes, stricter gun control laws, a limited freedom of speech, and other restrictive laws that violate man’s God-given rights. Should we be content with having some of our rights and liberties taken away even if better than the rest of the world? Absolutely not. And that’s why you and I must continue to fight. It’s because you’ve been at my side that I also celebrate liberty-loving friends like you who are willing to stand up and defend our country, our constitution, and our rights. Your support for Campaign for Liberty is making a difference for the cause of liberty. So, while it is true that our liberties are still endangered by power-hungry politicians and the special interests that hope to benefit from big government, there is still hope. . . . . . as long as those of us who know the truth stay active in the battle for liberty. Remember when the founders gathered in Philadelphia, few thought these rebels could defeat the forces of the British Empire. But these rebels toppled an empire and won their independence! The American Revolution proves that an irate and tireless minority can accomplish great things. And Campaign for Liberty supporters like you have shown time and again that they are not just irate at the growth of government but are tireless when it comes to fighting to take our liberties back from the statists. Despite these troubling times, I have hope. As long as those of us who know the truth stay active in the battle, I am confident the cause of liberty will be victorious. We have huge opportunities to reclaim the liberties that have been taken from us. Happy Independence Day, thank you for all you do, and keep fighting to keep the liberty rEVOLution alive!
