Dem AGs are committed to the defense of LGBTQIA+ people all year round. Join them.
Friend, Pride Month may be over, but the fight for full equality goes on, and Democratic Attorneys General are staying vigilant in their defense of LGBTQIA+ rights across the country.
Just this week – in continued solidarity with trans individuals who have been increasingly targeted with discriminatory legislation – CA AG Rob Bonta added five more states to the list of places where CA state-funded travel is banned because of discriminatory laws against the LGBTQIA+ community.
With so many new attacks on LGBTQIA+ individuals – especially against trans youth from GOP state legislators and AGs – we have to band together in our commitment to push back all year long – not just during Pride Month when issues of equality are more visible.
And Dem AGs have been steadfast in their defense of LGBTQIA+ and trans rights. When President Trump tried to overturn health care for trans individuals during a global pandemic, a group of 23 Dem AGs filed a lawsuit against the administration.
As the People’s Lawyers, Dem AGs are uniquely empowered to check radical lawmakers at the state and federal level, and they’ll be standing guard against any attempt to infringe on the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community. But they need your support behind them, friend.
Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and with more than 30 AG seats up for grabs in the next two years, we need your support – will you chip in today?
