Next month, when our numbers are published, the entire nation will see that we're building a people-powered movement right here in New York's 1st Congressional District. They'll see that we're gaining momentum, that we're hungry for change, and that we're determined to flip this seat blue once and for all.
They'll know that we're running to win. This photograph from our launch event just one month ago, says it all -- our campaign is by the people, for the people.
There's a long road ahead of us, and it'll be tough to win this seat, but if we continue working together, there's nothing we can't accomplish. When I was looking out at the crowd that showed up for me on the first day of this campaign, I was thinking about how badly we need someone in Congress to show up for this community. Lee Zeldin hasn't done that, but I will. If sent to Congress, I'll work every day to make a positive impact for Suffolk County's families.
