Dear Neighbor,
I hope that you are getting ready to have a relaxing 4th of July weekend, filled with BBQs, beach trips, and maybe even some time in our beloved Prospect Park.
As vaccination rates go up throughout the City infection rates have been coming down (although there is still plenty of work to do to get people in neighborhoods with low vaccination rates vaccinated) but we cannot let this plateau and New Yorkers must continue to get vaccinated. Especially with reports of the Delta variant on the rise.
It is now even more convenient to get your dose, as of today any New Yorker who is eligible for a vaccine, is now eligible for an in-home vaccination.
New Yorkers can choose any of the three available vaccines for an in home dose. If you or a loved one is interested in getting an in home vaccination you can sign up online here or call 877-829-4692
They are reporting good defense of the Delta variant with the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines with long term immunity, and just this morning it was reported the Johnson and Johnson vaccine is also seeing robust immunity to the delta variant.
We will be sure to communicate any additional vaccine guidance about any future booster shots. But for now it remains that getting vaccinated is the most important thing you can do to keep yourself and your community safe.
If you have any questions or issues getting an appointment or any other community issues feel free to reach out to my office at 718.499.1090 or [email protected] and my staff will assist you!
Continue to get vaccinated and have a great 4th of July weekend!
In solidarity,
Brad
