Dear John --

I’m proud of what Labour’s been able to achieve since 2017 and I hope you are too. But now we've got to focus on protecting our progress and ensure Labour can keep tackling the big issues facing New Zealand- and that means winning next year’s election.

Starting a monthly donation to the Labour Party -- of any amount that suits you -- is the single most effective way you can support our Party as we prepare for next year’s election campaign.

My role at Head Office has been focused on building rock-solid party infrastructure that will support Jacinda and our MPs with a winning election campaign. That all requires time, effort, and resources -- and our party needs those resources in place before Jacinda calls the 2020 election next year.

The reality is John, our ability to make meaningful investments in our field programme and upscale our digital infrastructure all depends on the level of early and continuous support we receive from dedicated supporters like you.

By starting a monthly contribution to Labour today, you'll be funding the critical programmes that will help Jacinda and our Labour candidates win in 2020. This is why we have to ask:

Can you make a monthly donation to Labour to fund the early investments we need to win in 2020? Contributing early and consistently, from now until election day, is our best chance of having the resources ready to run a winning election campaign.

If you're anything like me, you probably want to know what your monthly gift to the Labour Party will help fund. These are a few of the programmes your monthly donation would help make possible and help grow:

  • Embedding Labour Field Organisers across New Zealand to help grow grassroots engagement and win the Party vote. To do this we’re recruiting and training grassroots Labour leaders to build meaningful relationships in their communities. We want to ensure we’re doing everything we can to equip Jacinda and our MPs with a nationwide, world-class field programme.
  • Strengthening our digital programmes will be crucial to our 2020 campaign. By improving analysis of voter data and helping unify our efforts across our digital platforms, we can put Labour candidates in the best position possible to connect with voters. Our ability to innovate, improve our data, and train people to use it, is directly related to how much we can invest this year.

John, your early support in this fight is critical and we would be so grateful if you could contribute a monthly gift (of any amount!) today.

Start a monthly contribution here to help us develop the campaign infrastructure we need to win next year's election.

We can do this! Thanks so much.

A short note on donations:

Election 2020 is fast approaching and we’re relying on your support to secure a second term for Jacinda and the team. Every year, National receives large donations from a small group of very wealthy individuals. Labour is proud to be the party of the people and we’re funded by small donations from thousands and thousands of passionate supporters like you.

Will you be one of our generous donors, John? Whatever you can afford — even if it’s only a few dollars — will make a difference and help us prepare a winning campaign. Together we can protect the change our Government continues to lead and keep fighting for a more equal and fair New Zealand. Please donate today. Thank you.
