Governor Murphy officially signed the FY 2022 state budget into law this week, making much needed investments in our state’s future and putting us on a path to fully recovering from the pandemic. The budget includes many historic items, including the largest payment into the pension fund ever, new and expanded tax relief programs for the middle class and working families, aid to small businesses, additional school funding, a four year free college program and much more. You can read more about the budget here. [[link removed]]

The plan would invest billions of dollars into upgrading our decaying infrastructure, creating jobs by putting people to work fixing our roads, bridges, water systems, internet architecture and much more. While we are proud that 11 of our state’s 12 representatives voted for these investments, we are disgusted that Rep. Jeff Van Drew has once again abandoned his constituents and sided with the radical, far right fringe of the Republican Party by voting No.

Marking the nation’s incredible progress against the COVID-19 pandemic, President Biden kicked off his “America is Back” Ice Cream Truck tour this week right here in Trenton. Governor Murphy and a crowd of supporters greeted the truck at the city’s Hetzel Pool to cool off and celebrate the Summer. Read more about the event here. [[link removed]]
