Dear Jack,

Today, I’m asking you to apply to be a General Election candidate for Reform UK.

Putting your name forward for our party is hugely important and I want to tell you why.

With the Tories planning to scrap the Fixed-term Parliaments Act, it’s entirely possible that they might call an early election and our two-party nightmare could easily become a one-party dictatorship before we know it.

I don’t think anybody believes that by scraping the Batley & Spen by-election last night, the Labour Party are now going to see a resurgence. The reality is that the old Conservative Party have become the new Con-Socialists, representing the nanny-state with high tax and high regulation, resulting in low growth and lower wages.

We’re the only party that will offer a common sense, low tax, smartly regulated, high growth economic vision.

It is essential that there is an alternative offered to voters around the country, other than the two old establishment parties. Our future democracy really does depend on it, which is why today we’re committing to standing in every constituency, whenever the next election might be – no standing down, no backing away.

Our candidates will have a support team with over 100 years of collective experience in fighting General Election campaigns. We have invested heavily in two new pieces of software that will transform our ability to interact with our own supporters and voters alike. We have a new fresh and exciting brand that has already proven to resonate with voters and we have started the process of outlining our policy platform, which gives the British people a genuinely optimistic vision of where our country could go with the right leadership.

Finally, we have the time we need to get our candidates in place and out campaigning. We know from recent elections that with the right attitude and with the right support, any candidate is capable of making a breakthrough provided they start their campaigns in plenty of time. That’s why I’m calling on you now to take a stand, put your name forward and provide the optimism this country needs.
