Protect the Clean Water Act! EPA must protect healthy communities, not roll back provisions for big polluters. >> [[link removed]]
John,
Coal, oil, and fracked gas terminals, trains, and pipelines devastate and pollute our waterways. Across the Pacific Northwest, communities continue to stand up to the fossil fuel industry and we are winning.
For nearly 50 years, the Clean Water Act has given states and tribal nations a voice in decisions that could threaten the health of our waterways. Now the Trump administration's Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) wants to destroy one of the strongest protections states and tribes have to protect our waterways and communities from polluted discharges and dangerous new fossil fuel infrastructure.
Act Now: Tell the EPA to uphold our basic clean water protections! [[link removed]]
By gutting key protections in the Clean Water Act, the Trump Administration is allowing the fossil fuel industry to ram through unpopular and destructive projects no matter the permanent consequences for water quality and our communities. This Clean Water Act rewrite would severely limit the ability of states and tribal nations to deny projects that could harm water quality and request additional information on the negative effects of proposed projects.
Tell Trump’s EPA: Maintain these vital protections and uphold a strong Clean Water Act. [[link removed]]
There is too much at stake. The EPA must fully implement the Clean Water Act for the health of our communities, not roll back provisions for the benefit of the big polluters.
Act now to ensure our access to clean water and healthy communities, in the face of dirty and dangerous proposals from the fossil fuel industry. [[link removed]]
