John,
The space race used to be between countries. Who would get to the moon first? Or who would be the first to land on Mars?
Not today. Now, two of the richest men in the world are competing to get to space. Check out this headline from Business Insider:
If Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk can afford to go to space, they can afford to pay their fair share in taxes.
Donate today to hold the rich and powerful to account and demand they start paying their fair share in taxes!
A recent investigative report from ProPublica shows that in 2007 and 2011, Jeff Bezos―the richest man in the world―paid zero dollars in federal income taxes. And in 2018, Elon Musk―the United States’ second richest man―also paid nothing in income taxes.[1]
That means each of us those years paid more in taxes than two people worth a combined $367 billion today.[2]
Whether through Elizabeth Warren’s Ultra-Millionaire Wealth Tax or President Biden’s plan to tax wealth like work, it’s time for the rich to start paying their fair share. And when they do we can address everything from hunger to childhood poverty to roads and bridges and more!
Americans for Tax Fairness is leading the fight for these issues in Congress. Donate $5 to demand Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk and other billionaires start paying their fair share.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your secure donation will go through immediately:
Thank you for fighting for an economy and a tax system that works for everyone, not just for billionaires who want to fly to space.
