I just touched base with our finance team, and it looks like we hit our $10,000 FEC end-of-quarter goal.
Friend, thank you. Your support is directly fueling our work to register Black voters and make it easier for people to vote -- no matter who they are or where they live. Every single Black vote MATTERS, and every cent you chip in helps us fight back against the outrageous attacks on our right to vote happening at the state and federal level.
Along with the start of the next quarter, today also marks the anniversary of the Civil Rights Act -- historic legislation that prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. To this day, the Civil Rights Act is the most comprehensive civil rights legislation ever enacted by Congress.
I don't know about you, but looking back on this victory, it's clear we still have work to do to secure equal rights under the law, voter protections for all, and justice in policing. We are always transparent with this team, and hitting our end-of-quarter goal puts us in a strong position to continue this necessary work.
We can't thank you enough for your support.
Collectively, we will win,
Stefanie Brown James
