Dear John,
For generations, American schoolchildren learned what the Declaration of Independence says about our inalienable rights given to us by God, and to be guarded by our government. They studied the Constitution's system of limited government and the separation of powers designed to protect against man's fallen nature. But many American schoolchildren are no longer learning America's story. In its place, ideologies like the Critical Race Theory are taking root in our nation's classrooms. The Left is reframing America's history in a way that further divides our nation. Why? The Left needs fragmentation to accomplish what it wants: a complete departure from the moral and transcendent truth that built our republic.
Watch this week's Pray Vote Stand to hear Reverend Dean Nelson, Chairman of Douglass Leadership Institute, talk about the foundation upon which America was built, intended to move an imperfect nation towards a more perfect union. Dr. Ben Carson, Founder of the American Cornerstone Institute, shares why history matters and encourages parents, teachers, and communities to teach children about American history -- both the good and the bad -- to show how our nation has solved problems and moved in the right direction. And Pastor Carter Conlon of Times Square Church discusses how we should respond to the Left's efforts to rewrite history and gives a biblical perspective on why the history of a nation matters.
