The Center for Disease Control has extended the eviction moratorium, further preventing the eviction of tenants who are unable to make rent. The moratorium that was scheduled to expire on June 30, 2021 is now extended through July 31, 2021. This is intended to be the final extension of the moratorium.

Across the country, we have seen states take action because 30 more days is not enough time for folks to get back on their feet. States like New York and California extended the moratorium through the summer, while some chose to stick with the CDC’s extension.

The National Low Income Housing Coalition created a database for rental assistance filled with resources throughout the states and territories. For many, they have less than 30 days to get the relief they need, so we are sharing this information across our networks. Please share this information as you never know who may need it.
