It’s us vs. ExxonMobil. Whose side are you on? >> [[link removed]]

John,

Meet Keith McCoy. Keith works for ExxonMobil, where he’s been a Capitol Hill lobbyist for nearly a decade.

Here’s what Keith was caught saying this week about Exxon’s lobbying efforts around Biden’s infrastructure bill:

This is bullshit. As people across the country are suffering life-threatening heat waves, the same politicians who are watering down Biden’s infrastructure bill are giving Exxon weekly opportunities to make their case against stopping the climate crisis. We might as well start calling this the Exxon Plan.

We’re up against one of the biggest, most sinister lobbying operations in the country. But with grassroots supporters like you on our side, I believe we can win a Green New Deal and deliver desperately needed change for our communities.

Will you chip in $5, $15, or whatever you can today to support our movement to take on corporate polluters, stop the Exxon Plan, and win a Green New Deal? [[link removed]]

It’s no coincidence that while Exxon was busy funneling cash and resources into maintaining the status quo, Biden’s infrastructure bill was being watered down and stripped of major climate provisions. Politicians like Joe Manchin, Kyrsten Sinema, and even Joe Biden himself are spending their time meeting with the very corporations and lobbyists responsible for climate change.

But we don’t give up that easily, John. Corporate polluters may have money. But we’ve got our movement.

We’re keeping the heat on Biden, Congress, and anyone with the power to help us win a Civilian Climate Corps and a Green New Deal. If you’re in, please chip in any amount today to power our work. [[link removed]]

In solidarity,
Ellen, Sunrise
