Dear John,
Graphic from a NumbersUSA Facebook ad viewed by 1 million voters.
Half of a million people have been caught crossing the border in the past three months. Most Americans believe we have a crisis at the border. But according to new polling from a Harvard-Harris poll, far too many people underestimate the enormity of the crisis.
Let me be clear, John: the American public overwhelmingly agrees with what we're trying to accomplish. According to that poll of almost 2,000 voters, eight in ten voters agreed that, "the current surge in illegal immigrants at the border" is "a crisis that needs to be addressed immediately" rather than "something that can be dealt with by the immigration system we currently have."
In fact, immigration is one of the top three most pressing concerns to more voters than any issue besides coronavirus... even more than the economy and jobs. But according to this same poll, still nearly half of Americans believe that there are about 90% fewer illegal aliens coming than there actually are.
We're telling the American public the truth about illegal immigration and its harmful effects. Americans have watched our videos or seen our ads more than a billion times. We have seven million fans on Facebook. And because our supporters like, comment on, and share our ads so often, we reap fantastic benefits for what we invest.
This is how as an organization we've had such a huge impact in Washington: we have the American people on our side, and we know how to help them fight to protect their own interests.
We don't just inform the public. We change minds. We provide voters with accurate information and the tools they need to influence their elected officials. But we don't get government grants, or donations from huge corporations and foundations. We rely on financial support from members like you.
With your help, we can continue to spread our message and help people do something about the immigration crisis.

We have a job cut out for us.
Understand, it's encouraging that most Americans see the surge of illegal immigration as a crisis, and that so many see it as among the nation's most pressing concerns. But still too many Americans underestimate just how severe that crisis is.
Here's where the polling data starts to get challenging to make sense of: 65% of Americans believe that Joe Biden's policies have encouraged illegal immigration... Eighty-five percent want more secure borders... but according to these same polls, nearly half of Americans approve of the job Pres. Biden has been doing on immigration. How could that be?
Part of the answer is that while so many Americans believe illegal immigration is a crisis, far too few appreciate how enormous the crisis actually is. Ten times more people are illegally entering than a huge group of voters recognize.
We must help Americans know the true NUMBERS: that HALF A MILLION illegal aliens have been apprehended in just the last three months!
About half of Americans think Pres. Biden is just trying to be compassionate. We must get out the message that there is nothing compassionate about making it easy for crime lords to traffic drugs, guns and even smuggle people. There's nothing compassionate about flooding the job market while so many Americans are out of work. There's nothing compassionate about overwhelming our infrastructure, imposing onerous demands on our natural resources, or making it impossible to meet environmental goals.
Most of the shows on cable news and network TV want Americans to think the problem is going away. Mark Zuckerberg certainly isn't going to post about the border crisis on Facebook, himself. Together, WE need to highligh the harm caused by illegal immigration (and unhelpful legal immigration). Please help.
