Flavors Hook Kids Maine

John,

After years of intense campaigning by our Flavors Hook Kids DC coalition and advocates like you, the DC Council finally passed legislation this week to end the sale of flavored tobacco products. And today, The Washington Post came out in support!

Read their powerful editorial below. Then, send a thank-you message to Council members who supported the bill.

"...D.C. lawmakers empowered the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs to enforce the ban, rather than D.C. police. The legislation also targets purveyors of tobacco products, not smokers. And the federal government must come through with strong rules shutting down the flow of flavored tobacco products across the country. The health of future generations depends on it.More >>

Let's show these Council members that we appreciate their leadership. We'll need them to stay energized to help build public support, ensure the legislation gets funded, and keep fighting to protect DC's kids from tobacco products. To that end, a "thank you" goes a long way!

Onward,

Meghan Kissell
