I'm excited to announce that earlier last week a bill on Individual Education Plans, I sponsored reached the state senate. This bill [HB 909] will allow students to repeat a grade if they or family members wish, as many students require a unique style of learning, which in some cases was not met considering the virtual learning environment. I am committed to ensuring that every Pennsylvanian has the opportunity to get the most out of the public education they are entitled to, and I will stop at nothing to ensure our kids have the resources they need to be successful.
In other news coming from the Harrisburg from this past week, Governor Tim Wolf vetoed the Republican Bill 1300, that stripped Pennsylvanians of voting rights. I'm glad that we have a Democrat in the Governors office to stop these attacks on our Democracy, but, truthfully we still don't the a Democratic majority in the State Government we need. We have another chance to take back the state house in 2022, but I need your help to do it.
I'll keep you updated on other legislative business as it unravels. In the meantime enjoy the long 4th of July weekend. I look forward to updating you soon.
