We’re at a critical decision point and our members of Congress need to know how vital Paid Leave is to you and your family --- and that we need them to pass paid leave for all this summer! 

→ Demand Congress acts quickly to pass comprehensive paid family and medical leave so that working families will finally have permanent and robust paid leave for all and our economy can thrive.

It’s super critical that we put pressure on our members of Congress right now. That’s because decisions are being made--as we speak--about what will and won’t be in the next big infrastructure packages that Congress passes. And while WE, you, me, our friends, know all too well how important access to paid leave is, people in Washington, D.C. keep saying they’re not hearing enough from folks like you and me. Let’s make sure we’re using our outside voices (and our emailing and texting fingers!) to put the same pressure on Congress that our families feel when we don’t have paid leave for when a critical health crisis strikes or a new baby arrives and are also facing a summer without childcare options and camps and a fall where we’re not sure if/when our kids will be back in school.

This policy is urgently needed so that workers and families can balance the needs of work and their critical caregiving responsibilities in times of health crisis and when a new baby arrives, businesses can succeed, and our economy can thrive.

Believe it or not, the United States is the only industrialized nation in the world without a federal paid leave policy. It’s time to change that! Paid leave is essential to millions of workers and their families -- and it’s beneficial for employees and employers alike. So much so that in order to build back better, we must invest in our country, our businesses, and in our people by ensuring paid leave is included in an economic recovery plan.
