Over the last few years we have seen our fair share of troubling times when it comes to growing our union. A hostile administration in the White House and a global pandemic drastically impacted our ability to organize and mobilize our membership.
Through our new AFGE NOW organizing initiative and the dedication of activists like you, we are proud to report that we reached our first net positive membership gain since October of 2019!
Our new organizing strategy is proving to be the winning formula when it comes to building power in the workplace. Since the launch of our AFGE NOW organizing initiative earlier this year we have experienced steady improvements in our membership gains. Our hard work resulted in a net positive increase of 199 members for the month of June — making last month our best month of growth since October 2018!
And, we won't stop there!
Our AFGE NOW webpage is packed with resources on how to jumpstart organizing efforts at your workplace. We have numerous resources from sample lunch & learn PowerPoint presentations to sample event flyers to informational brochures and so much more!
It takes all of us to build and grow our union. And our latest achievements prove that our collective efforts and solidarity are working.
