Hey,

Did you see the news? The Supreme Court just announced its decision in Brnovich vs. DNC, harming Latino, Native American, and Black voters in Arizona. That’s not all – the Court went even further to deliver a major blow to the Voting Rights Act and make it harder to fight discriminatory voting policies.

We need to act now for the sake of our democracy.

Voting restrictions pose a mounting threat to our democracy. Republican state legislatures across the country have been acting quickly to pass legislation that further chips away at voting rights. As we saw today, we can’t count on the Supreme Court to strike down these discriminatory policies.

That’s why it’s more important than ever that Congress passes the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and the For the People Act. It’s on all of us – elected officials, business leaders, activists, and voters – to use our voices to demand action from Congress. These voting restrictions are taken from the same playbook as Jim Crow, and we can’t allow this discrimination to go on any longer. There is no place for racism in our elections.

Will you stand with me in calling on Congress to act now on legislation that combats voter suppression and expands voting rights? We can’t rest while the freedom to vote is threatened.
