Hello, Friends
I’m so happy to have been home in Florida this week it’s always refreshing to get a break from the swampy air of Washington! As your representative, I had the opportunity to fulfill two of my most important responsibilities: honor the heroes and leaders among us, and encourage the next generation of them.
I had the incredible privilege to present 95-year-old World War II veteran, Philip Hooper of the Army’s 101st Airborne Division, with his Purple Heart and several other medals he earned during his time of service. He put his life on the line in service to America, and I am honored to be a part of this restoration effort.
Each year, I look forward to nominating students to military academies, and each year, I’m impressed with the great talent of the applicants. This year, we included an obstacle course for participants to test their physical agility and endurance. We had a great showing thank you to the Army 7th Special Forces Group for hosting this exciting event!
Sham Impeachment
Just a few months ago, Democrats were saying President Trump was a Russian agent. They were proven wrong. Now, they’re advancing the ‘straight-to-DVD’ sequel to the Russia Hoax, focusing on Ukraine, because they never let facts get in the way of their narrative.
The Democrats who are ringleading this circus don’t want to debate, listen, follow rules, or play fair. All they want to do is remove Donald J. Trump from office. Their plans to impeach him didn’t start last month they began the night he was elected. They still have no basis for impeachment, and I’m glad President Trump is fighting back against this sham.
What the Democrats will never be able to come to grips with is this: President Trump’s policies are working. The American people realize that. Other countries realize that. But the Democrats and the radical left don’t want to realize it. That’s why they want to defame, delegitimize, and destroy people who champion President Trump’s America First agenda, because they can’t argue against the President Trump on policy.

This is, without a doubt, a witch hunt, led in equal measure by Speaker Pelosi and Adam Schiff.
This seems like a good time to remind you of a bill I introduced in Congress earlier this year: the Preventing Extreme Negligence with Classified Information Licenses Resolution (PENCIL) Act. My bill calls for the removal of Adam Schiff from the House Intelligence Committee and for his security clearance to be revoked.
As Chairman of the Intelligence Committee, Rep. Schiff is supposed to be responsible for characterizing critical, sensitive intelligence information to the other members of Congress and to the American people. Instead, Mr. Schiff has betrayed the trust of the American people. He was untruthful when he said he had “evidence of collusion.” He was dishonest when he ‘paraphrased’ President Trump’s call with Ukraine’s President Zelensky. He flat-out lied when he said that his office had no contact with the whistleblower.
He should be removed from his position.

Caring for the Planet
Recently, a few intersections in Washington D.C. were blocked by a handful of climate protestors. While I strongly agree there are many steps we can (and should) take to protect our environment, blocking traffic and sitting in crossroads is NOT a step in the right direction it’s not a step at all! Instead, we must encourage innovation in tech, reduce regulations that harm innovation, and encourage practical solutions to climate change. My Green Real Deal lays the framework for meaningful legislative solutions. Unfortunately, Speaker Pelosi will not give these ideas the light of day.

‘How dare you!’ Why the House hasn’t voted on climate change
Slashing Bureaucracy
This week, President Trump signed two excellent executive orders. The first was an Executive Order named Promoting the Rule of Law Through Transparency and Fairness in Civil Administrative Enforcement and Adjudication. The title is bulky but the substance is simple and important: this EO protects American business owners from secret and unlawful interpretations of rules, developed by federal agencies, which are frequently forced on business who didn’t know they were breaking any rules.
The second Executive Order, Promoting the Rule of Law Through Improved Agency Guidance Documents, requires federal agencies to inform the public about guidance they must follow. For too long, agencies have been burying regulations and mandates, hiding them deep in their websites, rather than being transparent to the public. This has made it extremely difficult for people, particularly small businesses, to know agency regulations.
President Trump promised to hold the bureaucracy accountable and he is delivering. The American economy will only benefit by these bold steps taken by our President.
