John,
After proudly representing my home of Livingston in the Montana House of Representatives since 2017, I’m ready to take the next step and fight for the resources and tools that our communities need to thrive.
Today, I am launching my campaign for Montana’s second district in Congress!
Will you join me on this journey by adding your name to become a founding member of our campaign today?
It’s no secret that our state has changed a lot over the last ten years, and with that growth, we now have an exciting opportunity to send a second representative to Congress to fight for our interests for the first time in three decades. Let’s send someone who understands the challenges that real Montanans are facing.
I have a track record of getting things done, and after flipping my current seat from red to blue in 2016, I’m just the right person for the job.
I’m an experienced Democratic leader who understands people and treats everyone with respect. As a trusted spokesperson for the Democratic Caucus and someone with two terms in House Minority Leadership under my belt, I’ve worked across the aisle to pass landmark legislation with an uncertain path.
My current constituents know I fight for what I believe is right. This integrity and independence have led me to deliver real results on the issues that matter most to Montanans, with a commitment to building an economy that works for all of us, protecting public lands and women's access to healthcare, expanding childcare and mental health services, and increasing access to affordable housing.
In addition to my public service, I’m a former small business owner, long-time education advocate, Director of the Montana Afterschool Alliance, and mother of three. I understand the challenges working families and small businesses are facing first-hand and I’m ready to get to work.
I feel incredibly fortunate to live in Livingston. Small towns teach us so much about building relationships and working together as a community — and I’m eager to bring the lessons my Montanan neighbors have taught me to Washington.
With the right leadership, I know a brighter Montana is on the horizon. Are you with me?
Thanks for joining me on this exciting journey,
Laurie
