Friends:
Voting rights are under attack across our country.
FIRST : Republicans in 48 states have introduced OVER 300 voter suppression laws this year alone.
THEN : After the For the People Act passed the House, Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans FILIBUSTERED the bill in the Senate. They won’t even let us DEBATE the need to protect the right to vote and get money out of politics.
AND NOW : The Supreme Court just upheld two of Arizona’s most egregious voter suppression laws, both of which make it harder for minority Americans to vote.
The Court’s ruling could make it extremely difficult—if not impossible—to challenge similar voting rights restrictions in the future.
Republicans are waging an all-out war on our democracy—and it has NOTHING to do with election integrity. It’s about promoting Donald Trump’s “Big Lie” conspiracy theory that the election was stolen and reversing the record voter turnout that powered Democrats to victory this past election.
Democrats must do EVERYTHING in their power—including getting rid of the Senate filibuster—to protect our Democracy and the right to vote. Add your name if you agree >>> [[link removed]]
Thank you for standing up for our Democracy. We’ll keep you posted on additional ways to raise your voice and take action over the coming weeks.
