In the near future, the People’s Alliance PAC will schedule the 2021 endorsement meeting to consider candidates for Durham mayor and city council seats for Wards 1, 2, and 3. To ensure you can vote at the endorsement meeting, join the People's Alliance by midnight tonight!

We expect to hold this year’s endorsement meeting virtually, on or about September 1. You must be a People’s Alliance member to attend the endorsement meeting.  You must be a member for at least60 days in order to vote at the endorsement meeting.

Lapsed members who have not yet renewed their membership for the 2021 calendar year can renew online up until a five days before the endorsement meeting to speak on behalf of a candidate and vote for their preferred candidates. Because the meeting will be virtual, memberships must be paid up five days prior to the meeting to allow for the People's Alliance to process those memberships and send the zoom link to registered members.

Those who are considering PA membership for the first time who would like to attend and vote at the endorsement meeting must join PA at least 60 days before the endorsement meeting. We do not yet have an exact date for the meeting, so encourage people who have not been members of PA before to join by the end of the day today (July 1, 2021).

While the endorsement meeting may be held later than August 30, it will not be held earlier than that date, so any new members that join on or before July 1 will be assured of their eligibility to vote at the endorsement meeting.

New members who join less than 60 days before the endorsement meeting are encouraged to attend and speak on behalf of candidates but cannot vote to endorse a candidate for office.
