Dear John,
Just wanted to send round a quick reminder about our monthly meeting on Monday, let you know about a new report by Zack Polanski and give you some dates for your diary.
Monday 5th July, 7-8pm - our West Central London Monthly Meeting (online)
This is a particularly important meeting for us as we will hold a short hustings to select target candidates for the local elections in May 2022. So please do sign up and come along to ask questions and vote. I will also update on our campaign in general and we will hear from Zack about how it's going in his role as a London Assembly Member!
New cycling report from Zack Polanski, AM
Published yesterday, this new report includes recommendations to commission an update of the analysis of cycling potential in London and where electric bikes would be most beneficial, broaden types of bicycles available to hire and take measures that will mean Londoners can have more trust in cycle hire options.
There are contact details in the report if you'd like to let Zack and his team know what you think about how the Mayor and the GLA can support
decarbonising transport in London and enable more people to cycle.
Finally, some important dates for your diary
-
Tues 20th or Thu 22nd July - training for our first doorknocking sessions - if you're keen to help us talk directly to voters, come along to our 1 hour training session on either evening with Zack Polanski and Aileen Gonsalves.
- Next month's Action Day will be Sunday 25th July. In the morning we will be leafleting in our target wards in Hammersmith and Kensington so if you have an hour or two free, please do come along. And then in the afternoon we will be doing a little sun dance so we can have our postponed picnic in Hyde Park (we'll confirm where nearer the time)!
Sign up links for these 3 dates will be shared next week.
As always, I'd love to hear from you if you have any questions or would like to offer your support for aspects of our campaigning (e.g. data entry, social media, doorknocking).
best wishes
Naranee
