I'm not willing to let the issues that matter for our community be left up to chance in Washington.

John --

I'm not the type to leave things up to chance.

When my constituents have concerns, it's not enough to just hear them out and hope the issues resolve on their own.

We identify the problem. We build consensus in Congress. Then we get to work.

I'm not willing to let the issues that matter for our community be left up to chance in Washington. Whether it's our health care, our coasts, or eliminating nuclear waste from San Onofre -- "chance" isn't enough. We need tangible results.

Right now, everything we've worked for is on the line. National Republicans are targeting this district. Redistricting is adding a new layer of uncertainty. This is not the time to leave things to chance. We need to be proactive, and meet this moment head on -- which is why I'm reaching out:

We're still $9,119 short of our end-of-quarter fundraising deadline. Can you rush in a donation of $25, $50, even $100 to make sure we're doing everything possible to prepare for the rigors ahead?

I can't tell you how much it means to me that our campaign is fueled by individual donors who know that we can do better in Washington. You've been there for us through thick and thin, and I hope we can continue to count on your support.

Let's do this,
