I had a great call with a donor this afternoon. (I’ll call her Sue for this email.)

She said that she wants her representative to wake up every morning thinking, “How can I make Sue’s life better today?” Not, “What corporate PAC can I get a $60,000 donation from today?”

And Sue said that she thinks I’ll do that: wake up every day thinking of how I can make her life better. And that she gives monthly to people like AOC and Pramila Jayapal because they need to know the progressive base has their back. And that if 60,000 people gave $1, that would be even better than a one-time $60,000 corporate check.
