Friend It's never been more critical to pass a two-party infrastructure deal and governors all across the country agree. Just this week, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer tweeted her support of the bipartisan agreement that President Biden reached with a group of 21 senators. We agree with Governor Whitmer. For the sake of the country, this proposal needs to become law. But an infrastructure bill will not get enough votes to pass—in the House or Senate--if it is any way linked to a separate reconciliation bill. This means House and Senate members have a simple choice to make: They are either for completely de-linking these two bills or they are against passing the bipartisan infrastructure bill. There really is no middle ground on this point, and No Labels will stand with those members willing to be brave. We hope you will join us in urging Governor Whitmer to reach out to Democratic leaders to get them to delink the bill and #LetThemVote. |
