Our campaign is facing our first fundraising deadline of the year tomorrow, so I hope you’ll give me a moment to explain why your contribution matters right now.

In our May Issues survey, I heard from people all across the state about the impact of the work we do at the Department of Justice and how we can do better.

I heard from Patricia that she’s concerned about the pollution of toxic chemicals into our air and water. Patricia, I have taken companies that pollute our natural resources to court and will not hesitate to in the future.

Geraldine wrote in to thank my Consumer Protection team for helping to resolve a dispute with her cable company. Geraldine, I’m glad we were able to help.

And an overwhelming majority of you included voting rights among your top three issues. Our right to vote is our most fundamental, and I am committed to protecting people’s right to vote and to defending our democracy.

Serving as the Attorney General of North Carolina is an incredible honor. My top priority has always been and will always be protecting the people of North Carolina.

Tomorrow is our first fundraising deadline since I was re-elected. What we report to the State Board of Elections next week is not just a number. It’s a measure of the strength and depth of this grassroots effort.
