Forensic Audit Update
The hand counting and ballot examination phase of the full forensic audit of the Maricopa County 2020 General Election is complete. Rumors of preliminary reports being released were just that: rumors. We are now waiting for the formal analysis and report. This could take several weeks.
Delegations from Georgia, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Alaska, Colorado, the state of Washington and Michigan toured the audit operations. Some are looking at what should be done in their own states to ensure election integrity. More than 2,000 individuals were vetted and served as volunteers for the audit. That is impressive and shows what Americans will do to stand up for our nation and rule of law.
We have learned a great deal from the audit already. We know that voter roll software is highly vulnerable. The voter rolls should be tied to driver’s licenses. That paper ballots need to be watermarked for security. That voter ID is imperative. And by way of example, if Medicare can know instantaneously when an individual dies and can update their records, voter rolls should be cleaned up in a similar fashion.
Here at the Republican Party of Arizona, we are proud of the leadership role our state has taken for election integrity. Despite constant attacks from Democrats and the media, the Republican leaders in the Arizona State Senate have stayed the course. They should be commended for their steadfastness.
We continue to fight the good fight, registering Republican voters and raising money for future needs. We are especially pleased with the outpouring of financial support from small donors: the grassroots. They are helping to place us in a good position for the battles ahead.
In July we celebrate the founding of our nation with the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Barbecues and fireworks are great but let us all take time to remember the principles of America’s founding. Many are trying to get us to forget or even renounce those principles. For those of us with children and grandchildren, please take time to make sure they understand the reason for the holiday.
Always America First!
