I'm Hakeem Jeffries -- the chair of the House Democratic Caucus.

In addition to working with the President to get our agenda passed, part of my duties include making sure we win key races to maintain control of the House -- which brings me to why I'm emailing today:

Earlier this year, National Republicans released their top targets for the coming midterm elections, and my friend Mike Levin is on the top of that list. With redistricting on the horizon, Republicans think he's vulnerable and are set to unleash major spending against him.

I'll never forget watching Mike's campaign back in the 2018 cycle when he set out to unseat Rep. Darrell Issa. The grassroots momentum behind his campaign was so strong that it forced Issa into retirement before the votes were even counted.

And when Mike got to Congress, it became clear to me why folks support him so strongly. He never wavers on his values, he puts the people of his district first, and he's getting the work done -- plain and simple.

He's exactly the type of leader we need more of in DC -- which is why Republicans are trying to stop him:
