Jessica “J.R.” Chester is a certified Community Health Worker (CHW), a sexual health educator, and a birth worker, with a decade of experience in community outreach and education. She is a former teen parent who has made it her life’s mission to help individuals and families achieve optimal pre-conception, pregnancy, birth, and parenting experiences through informed decision-making, reproductive life planning, equitable access to care, education, and support. J.R. owns Begin With A’kis, LLC, a professional birthing services
business, by which she provides care as a birth doula, a lactation counselor, and a childbirth educator. She also holds a double degree in Molecular Biology and Business Administration from The University of Texas at Dallas, where she became a proud member of the illustrious organization of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Lastly, but always first in her heart, J.R. is the mother of five amazing young people: Skylar, Ivory, Kameron, Ava, and Jessika “Ana.” |
