I wanted to bump this message from Joe. I’m meeting with him in a few hours to give him an update on tonight’s quarterly fundraising deadline. He asked me to bring a list of previous donors so we can go line by line to see where we can improve our totals before tonight.
I’m writing to you because your name is on our list. I was hoping you could donate now so that I can give Joe the good news that you are all in and committed to helping execute Groundwork’s national plan.
Here’s the specific link I have so that our records update immediately:

I’ve had some close to me ask why I picked Alabama, Mississippi, and West Virginia as our first partner states. Well it’s because they are the areas where the long game, consistent resource allocation, and focus can make a difference.
We know this because my team spent the first half of 2021 conducting a thorough landscape survey. The results were clear: the majority of organization-based, national, and high-dollar resources in play today are, understandably, being directed towards immediate battlegrounds, the states deemed essential for Democratic success in the 2022 midterms and 2024 presidential contest.
If Democrats are going to fundamentally shift the map over the next decade, we need to expand the number of resources going to states where the path ahead for Democrats is longer and tougher.
This is the foundation of our national plan. It was important for me to explain this before tomorrow night. Tomorrow is our first quarterly budget deadline since announcing our plan and our results will be used to show our first slate of partner states that we are committed to playing the long game with them.
We have a goal of raising another $10,000 before tomorrow night. Can I count on you? [[link removed]]
DONATE NOW [[link removed]]
I’m excited to share with you in the coming months the amazing organizations we are getting to know on the ground in these states. I’m proud that my team is being intentional with our outreach and taking time to make sure we thoroughly understand where we can and should fit into what’s already happening on the ground.
In case you are interested, here’s a bit more about what we have learned in each state:[link removed] [[link removed]]
Team, I know we can continue to push for progress and make a difference in these three states. But I can only do this work with you by my side. Donate now. [[link removed]]
More soon!
Joe
Groundwork Project was founded by Joe Kennedy III to support community organizers, advocates, and activists nationwide who are working year-round to build a just, free, and equitable future for all. For decades, the Democratic Party has under-resourced, under-valued, and under-recognized the importance of local political infrastructure and year-round grassroots organizing. This needs to change.
We're directing resources, attention, and support to the local advocates and state-based organizations doing the deep, long-term organizing that Democrats need to build a more diverse party, expand its base, win elections, and deliver progressive policy reforms. Contribute now. [[link removed]]
