I am working every day to combat gun violence in this country. In the House, we have worked hard to pass meaningful gun control legislation, such as the Bipartisan Background Check Act and the Charleston Loophole Bill.

But we must do more, like banning assault weapons and high capacity magazines and investing in community violence prevention programs.
