I'm reaching out one last time because our official fundraising deadline is tonight at midnight.
You know how much progress we've made here in Washington in just the last few months. But you also know that it was years in the making.
Friend,
Thanks to supporters like you, Washington state is raising the global standard for bold climate action -- literally.
We'll explain what we mean below. But first, we've gotta ask: Can you chip in before tomorrow's official fundraising deadline to keep the progress going?
Here's the deal: In our most recent legislative session, we passed a new Clean Fuel Standard that will cut carbon emissions from transportation (our largest source of carbon pollution) and create more jobs in our growing clean energy sector.
What's more, our new Climate Commitment Act puts us on a path to net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, while giving members of frontline communities a voice in policy design and investment decisions.
But for the four months that our legislative session was underway, we were legally barred from fundraising, and now we are making up for lost time. As our official, public end-of-month fundraising deadline approaches, we're asking every supporter to chip in to keep our progress going.
Will you contribute before our deadline (midnight tomorrow!) to continue to make Washington state an example of what bold climate action looks like?
With your support, we'll show the rest of the country that bold climate action and a thriving economy can go hand in hand!
Thanks,
Team Inslee
